Dublin residents who need more support than weekly therapy can get inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder and related conditions at The Recovery Village Columbus. We have no Dublin office; all care happens at our single campus in Groveport, about 27 miles away and typically a 30- to 40-minute drive on I-270. Call (614) 362-1686 to talk through your options.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are thinking about suicide or are in emotional crisis, call or text 988, any time, day or night.
Mental Health Is Common, and Treatment Is Underused
National data from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) show how widespread mental illness is. In 2022, an estimated 59.3 million U.S. adults, 23.1% of all adults, had a mental illness, and about 15.4 million (6.0%) had a serious mental illness. Only about half (50.6%) of adults with any mental illness received mental health treatment in the past year. These are national figures, not Dublin-specific. What they show is that needing mental health care is common, and that many people who could benefit from treatment go without it.
Dublin Spans Three Counties, So Your Local Resources Depend on Your Address
The City of Dublin sits in three Ohio counties: Franklin, Delaware and Union. Each county has its own public mental health and addiction board, which affects which local crisis services and community programs you can use:

Inpatient vs. Outpatient: What Fits Right Now?
Choosing a level of care is often the hardest part. Here’s how our programs differ:
Inpatient (residential) mental health treatment
Our inpatient mental health program is a voluntary, subacute residential program for adults who need structure and daily treatment but are not at immediate risk of harming themselves or others. It includes 24/7 medical monitoring, medication management, and one-on-one and group therapy with licensed therapists, plus art therapy and recreation. Most people complete the residential stay in two to four weeks. We also accept transfers from acute psychiatric hospitals for people who are stable enough to step down.
If someone is in active danger, the right first step is an emergency department, Netcare Access or 911, not a subacute program. Our team can help coordinate the next step once the immediate crisis is stabilized.
Partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient
If you can safely live at home, partial hospitalization provides 18 to 20 hours of treatment per week, and intensive outpatient provides at least nine hours per week. Both include individual and group therapy and address co-occurring conditions. Keep in mind that outpatient care means regular trips to Groveport, so consider your work schedule and I-270 traffic when planning.
When mental health and substance use overlap
NIMH notes that many people with substance use disorders also experience depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder, and that integrated care combines both kinds of treatment in one coordinated plan. Our co-occurring disorders program is designed for that situation.
About Our Groveport Campus
The Recovery Village Columbus opened in 2017 and is accredited by The Joint Commission. Treatment is delivered by a physician-led team that includes licensed therapists, case managers and medical staff. The 6.5-acre campus includes a gym, an art studio, outdoor volleyball and pickleball courts and a fire pit, which gives people room to decompress between sessions.
Getting There From Dublin
From Dublin, the trip to 3964 Hamilton Square Blvd is roughly 27 miles. Most routes follow I-270 around the south or east side of Columbus; allow about 30 to 40 minutes, more at rush hour. The campus is about a mile southeast of I-270.
Insurance
For mental health treatment, we’re in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, First Health, Medical Mutual of Ohio, MultiPlan, UBH/Optum and the VA Community Care Network. Verify your coverage before admission.
Dublin Mental Health Treatment FAQs
Is there a Recovery Village mental health location in Dublin?
No. The Recovery Village Columbus has one campus, in Groveport. Dublin residents travel there for inpatient and outpatient programs.
I live in the Union County part of Dublin. Can I still get treatment in Groveport?
Ask our admissions team about your situation. Your county matters mainly for local public crisis services, such as the resources listed above, and your insurance determines coverage.
How quickly can I start?
Same-day admission may be available when medically appropriate. Walk-ins are accepted 24/7 after a pre-assessment, but not every walk-in can be admitted and scheduled admissions take priority, so calling first through admissions is usually faster. Having your insurance card, a list of current medications and the names of any current providers handy will make the conversation easier.
What if I’m worried about a family member who refuses help?
NAMI Franklin County and NAMI Mid-Ohio both run family support programs. If you believe your loved one is in danger, call 911 or call or text 988 for guidance.
