Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
Five to six hours of clinical programming, five days a week — individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric care, medication management. Patients sleep at home or in sober living. PHP is the closest thing to residential treatment without overnight stay and is the typical first step down. It suits patients who have stabilized medically but need daily structure and support. Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Three hours of programming, three to five days a week, typically in evening or daytime blocks that accommodate work or school. Group therapy is the core, with individual sessions and psychiatric follow-up. IOP suits patients who have completed PHP or whose presentation never required higher intensity. Virtual IOP
