Demographics
Black residents of Franklin County have seen the steepest increase in overdose deaths in recent years, reversing earlier patterns in which white residents had higher rates. Men die at roughly twice the rate of women. Overdose deaths are distributed across the county, not concentrated in any single area.
What Drives the Numbers
